SADER published the Operating Rules for the first two components of the Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Aquaculture Promotion Program, the new multisectoral subsidy program. According to the Federal Expenditure Budget (PEF), this new program will have a budget of $1,494 million pesos for the three sectors. This aims to promote small and medium-sized primary activities that contribute to food self-sufficiency and rural rescue, with an emphasis on fishing and aquaculture.

In the fishing and aquaculture sector, it seeks to serve small producers, and will also prioritize fishermen and aquaculturists who are located in rural areas, part of the municipalities included in the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, of ethnic groups or indigenous peoples.
The two components that were published are to promote the fishing sector and were Support for the Welfare of Fishermen and Aquaculturists (Good Fishing), whose Responsible Unit is Conapesca and Aquaculture Genetic Resources, which INAPESCA will be responsible for the operation and execution.

The Bien Pesca subsidy will be $7,200 pesos per beneficiary. The eligibility criteria are to be registered in the Register of Fisheries and Aquaculture Producers and to have a permit or concession or that is in process.

The Aquaculture Genetic Resources component consists of supporting the purchase of oyster seeds, trout fry, tilapia or shrimp postlarvae. The requirements to obtain this support are to be in the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Registry, to prove legal ownership of the property or property (aquaculture facility) and to submit the last three harvest notices.

It is important to mention that in previous years, the Operating Rules for all subcomponents of the program were published in the same edition of the Official Journal. However, only two components have been released this year. It is likely that in the coming days the rest of the components that will help promote small and medium-sized primary activity in the agricultural, livestock, fishing and aquaculture sectors will be published.
