Publication guidelines for Causa Natura

Welcome to the CN Wiki section, a space created for researchers, academics, communication media, specialists, and civil society to highlight research and opinion articles on topics related to our natural resources.

General guidelines

As a general requirement, you must be affiliated with an academic or research institution, media outlet, government organization, or civil society organization, and have proven knowledge and experience in the topics to be covered. Likewise, contributions proposed to the portal must be in line with this area of expertise.

If you meet these requirements, the process for submitting your work to us is simple. First, register as a contributor to the CN community. If your proposal is accepted [if your pitch is accepted], you can then upload your full article in accordance with our editorial guidelines and fill in your publication details.

Editorial guidelines

To write an article for dissemination through the digital communication channels of Causa Natura A.C.

  1. The article must be at least one page long and no more than two pages long.
  2. The format should be Arial 12 pt font; line spacing 1.15; justified and margins top 2.5 cm, bottom 2.5 cm, left 3 cm, and right 3 cm.

  3. The file must include a title, author's name, email address, and social media accounts (optional).

  4. The file should not include images.

  5. The file name must follow this structure: article name_author name.
  6. When citing authors or basing articles on figures, the official source must be cited in APA format.

  7. Articles must be uploaded and registered at the following link: https://forms.gle/9JNrfMZTSYpUfVrm7
  8. The document must be saved in the following format: Word 97-2004 document (.doc) or Word document (.docx).

Once the document has been reviewed, and if deemed necessary by the editorial team at Causa Natura, the relevant recommendations will be sent by email to be addressed before continuing with the article publication process. When the final version of the article is approved, notification will also be sent via the same channel.
