CNM Corrections Policy
Causa Natura Media is a medium committed to the exercise of rigorous journalism. We also recognize that we are not exempt from committing human errors, so it will be our responsibility to correct small or large errors in articles published by the team of journalists on this digital portal.
In this spirit, we ask readers, if a mistake is identified in our articles, to contact the journalist responsible for this medium at: periodismodatos@causanatura.org to let him know.
Our correction process, based on international journalistic standards, consists of the following steps:
Submit the new information for evaluation and determine if an error was made.
If yes, contact the author of the note to make an adjustment as soon as possible to the article in question and add a legend of faith of errors at the end of it, which will contain the following elements: correction, date, time, the mention of the error and the correct data.
The corrections will be made in the same places where the error was published. This includes the various information channels of Causa Natura Media such as: newsletters, newspapers, social networks and videos. In addition, errors will be listed in the Corrections section.
If one of the parties referred to in the article has an observation or argument that contradicts or clarifies the information asserted in a text, their right of reply will be asserted and said letter will be placed at the end of the article. (These information contributions may be subject to verification or clarification by the Causa Natura Media editorial team).
Cases that do not involve a legend of faith of errors:
- Syntax or drafting errors will be amended without a caption at the end of the article.
- When the information is under development, as is the case of real-time coverage, the information will be updated with greater precision as soon as it is available.
