Recently, the National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI), the Federal Supreme Audit Office (ASF), the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Secretariat of Public Administration (SFP) released the list of organizations and projects awarded in the various categories of this award, where our “Fishing for Data” platform was recognized with the first place in the category “Natural persons and civil society organizations” Approximately 70 papers
were received, submitted by governmental institutions of the three branches of government, autonomous bodies, civil society organizations and individuals, of which 12 were recognized in the four categories (federal, state, municipal and individuals and civil society organizations)
During the participation ceremony our Executive Director, Eduardo Rolón highlighted the importance of access to data, and the importance of mediating bodies between government agencies and civil society, as well as the purpose of our platform and how we bring information from the few to the many to achieve better actions in our natural resources.
